Rounding the corner to Loch Inver, the lighthouse was picked out by a bright patch of sunshine, and welcomed us to the West Coast. We stopped the engine and drifted for half an hour, catching a couple of mackerel to make our starter for dinner. They were delicious, from ocean to plate in less than an hour, just lightly fried in their own oil, with a dab of butter and squeeze of lemon. Mmmm...
